Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) with Accounting and Mathematics as passed subjects. Recommendations: Prior experience in government finance; Accounting experience. Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Government financial systems (BAS); Reporting framework (SCOA); Applicable legislation; Computer skills; Communication (written and verbal) skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
Clearance of balances in the assets and liabilities accounts; Allocations of cash receipts of the department on BAS; Compile claims recoverable and payable of the department; Do adjustment journals of the department in relation to expenditure/revenue/assets and liabilities on BAS; Document control of section
