SALARY: Grade 1: R383 226 – R444 276 per annum
Grade 2: R471 33 – R579 696 per annum

REQUIREMENTS: Senior Certificate (grade12) or Equivalent Degree/Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery Minimum of 4 Years recognizable experience in Nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC, in General Nursing and PHC. Post basic qualification with a duration of at least 1 year in Curative Skills in Primary. Health Care accredited with SANC. Proof of current registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse (2020) Knowledge, Skills And Competencies Required Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statutes and other relevant legal frameworks, such as Nursing Act, Health Act, Patients, Rights Charter, Batho- Pele principles, Public service Regulations, Disciplinary Code and Procedures in the Public Service. Report writing, leadership, organization, decision making and problem-solving abilities. Financial management skills and budgeting knowledge. Empathy and counseling skills and knowledge. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to make independent decisions. An understanding of the challenges facing the Public Health Sector. Ability to translate transformation objectives into practical plans. Ability to prioritize issues and other work-related matters and to comply with time frames.
DUTIES: Ensures the efficient and effective control of surgical sundries, pharmaceuticals equipment and miscellaneous stores. Ensure the supervision of Nursing Care through adequate supervision. Deal with grievances and labour relations issues in terms of laid down procedures/policies. Ensures supervision and provision and basic patient’s needs. Promote preventing and promote health for clients. Evaluate treatment, implementation of programs and evaluation of patient’s clinical conditions. Attend and participate in doctors’ visit. Health Education of patients, staff and public Assessing in-service training needs, planning and implementing training programs. Assist patients and families to develop a sense of care.
