Introduction
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Clerk General, to be based at the IvanPlats near Mokopane, Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Supervisor Administrator.
Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
Provide effective clerical assistance to the Snr Clerk on site
Provide assistance for activities relating to the recruitment process
Assist in organising work permits, termination of employees, leave / status control forms etc.
Capture leave forms on ESS of skilled and semi-skilled employees (site specific)
Assist with employees with resolving HR related queries
Assist with booking of accommodation as required
Assist with daily / monthly labour reports, time & attendance reports, monitoring of employees clocking, work permits and medical expiry dates
Update employee data e.g. passport numbers etc.
Assist with the completion of Rand Mutual forms and with updating the accident reporting system as required
Effective administration of time & attendance and auditing of timesheets
Update and maintain the filling system
Proactive risk identification, escalate timeously
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Grade 12 or equivalent
Relevant Office Administration / Clerical related certificate or similar
Proficient in MS Office [Word, Outlook & Excel]
Proficient at typing
Administrative competence
Attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within a mining environment

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials
Positions parts and subassemblies by using template or reading measurements and installation/assembly instructions
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
Verifies specifications by measuring complete component
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:·
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
N2, with Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Science and Trade Theory (Advantageous)
Must be able to do repetitive work quickly and methodically
Must be able to read and complete basic QCP’s (Quality Control Plans)
Be fully conversant in English
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:·
At least 3 years’ experience as an Engineering Assistant, i.e. Boilermaker
Relevant working experience in earthmoving and trackless mining equipment workshops
Must be fit to work underground
Must not have a criminal record

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Handling intake, scanning, verification, and storing documents.
Filing and archiving relevant documentation.
Retrieving archiving files from other employees when needed.
Controlling the flow of documents regarding document storage.
Reporting errors or developments regarding document storage.
Ensuring the secure destruction and disposal of sensitive documents.
Maintaining the security of confidential documents.
Assisting employees with accessing documents through our document management system.
