Sappi Ngodwana Mill seek to place a suitably qualified Production Manager for the Kraft Liner Board (KLB) Business Unit. The position will be responsible to manage and ensure effective performance of all aspects of the KLB Business Unit in terms of both current performance and longer term business planning, thereby contributing to the profitability and growth of Ngodwana Mill by achieving maximum

Minimum Requirements…

  • B-Tech in Chemical Engineering or B-Tech in Pulp & Paper
  • Relevant Management qualification advantageous
  • 8 Years’ experience within pulping industry after qualification and/ or 5 years production management experience within the pulping

Job Specification…

  • Accountable for the efficiency of the processes within KLB
  • Ensure cost efficiencies are monitored and cost expenditure is within budget
  • Manage productivity of all relevant resources within the area of responsibility
  • Accountable for the formulation, justification and approval of annual CAPEX plans
  • Responsible for the overall fixed and variable cost performance
  • Ensure effective succession planning, performance management, training and development of team members through the establishment of Personal Development Plans, and Replacement plans
  • Responsible for all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) systems with the section and the implementation of all SHEQ rules and regulations
  • Responsible for Shut Management within the KLB
  • Responsible for the Generation and Evaluation of Business Process Information within KLB
