Grade 12 or equivalent qualification and 1- 2 years relevant experience in Security Operations. Grade E, C, D and PSIRA qualification. Ability to work under pressure, 12 hour shifts. Permanent appointment subject to Security clearance.
Implementation of control of access to government premises and vehicle act 53 of 1985, by conducting access control, vehicle control and safe guarding government property. Advice and directing visitors and escort visitors to higher authorities if needed.

All short-listed candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise that intends to test relevant technical elements of the job, the logistics of which will be communicated by the department. Following the interview and technical exercise, the selection panel will recommend candidates to attend a generic managerial competency assessment. The competency assessment will be testing generic, managerial competencies using DPSA SMS competency assessment tools. All short listed candidates will be subjected to screening and security vetting to determine their suitability for employment, as well as qualification verification. Successful candidate will be expected to enter into a performance agreement.
