Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Delmas has an opportunity available for a CJM Driver to join the CJ Distribution team in Midrand. To ensure the company’s equipment, stock, products and other items are moved to designated areas as required.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

 

Grade 12 / Matric

Valid License

Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ company driver

Job Description:

Delivery & pick up

Safely transport products to different locations in a timely, safe, and courteous manner

Ensure the correct products are delivered within the specified time

Always use the shortest and most effective route

Return to the office immediately after a delivery, so the vehicle can be utilized for a second or third delivery

Be fully accountable for all damages and losses throughout the delivery process

Comply with minimum standards of efficiency and accuracy, to meet company requirement

Ensure all delivery paperwork is signed upon delivery

Complete and maintain all required vehicle logbooks

 

Vehicle Maintenance

 

Responsible for keeping the vehicle clean outside and inside

Ensure the delivery vehicle is never left unattended during the delivery or pick up

Conduct inspections for defects and safe operational conditions before, during and after trips and report any concerns to the manager

Report all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment

Adherent to the road traffic rules and regulations as per road traffic act

Be responsible for any traffic fines allocated to the vehicle he/she is driving

 

Customer service

 

Efficient and effective relationships with internal and external customers to improve operating efficiencies

Ensure long-term customer and supplier relationships through prompt and courteous service

Dealing in a professional manner with clients

Report on customer and supplier complaints, requests and give feedback to company management

 

Sales Operations Assistant

 

Assist in picking, counting, boxing and wrapping stock and non-stock for shipment

Labelling and dispatch of promotional material

Cleaning of stock rooms and stock areas

Assisting in stock taking

Clean pool cars (wash and vacuum)

Check water and oil levels of pool cars

 

General:

 

Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations

Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations

Always comply with the company uniform policy
