Duties & Responsibilities

Work activities can vary depending on the project, but typical duties can include:

  • Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs
  • Furniture build and carpentry
  • Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs
  • Respond to clients’ maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting in the diagnosis and repair of faults in Electrical and Mechanical Installations, plant and equipment
  • Available and or to be schedule to work on emergency calls
  • Performs general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines, including in conjunction with the Technical manager, helps ensure the technical smooth running of the facilities assigned to.
  • Repair plumbing, electrical and safety systems
  • Undertake repairs to building furniture including doors, windows, cupboards, shelving, and building fabric.
  • Perform minor adjustments on room furniture, fixtures and other items in the facilities as required
  • Maintain HVAC, filters, oil fans
  • Attend to Ad hoc

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric Certificate or equivalent (non-negotiable)

 

Requirements

  • Technical skills (non-negotiable)
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar role
  • Solid experience with plumbing
  • Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment
  • Extremely organised with good communication skills
  • Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Have a driver’s license
  • Have a SA ID or Work permit (non-negotiable)
