Core Description | Responsible for the project management of IT related projects to achieve the defined project objectives within the constraints of time, budget, quality and performance. It includes aligning to releases and the management of a project team across entire value chain from procuring a solution, through to implementation. This can include the Business Case development and Business Case management function of a solution. |

Job Responsibilities | Functional (100%) – Manage projects in accordance with the relevant Systems Development Life cycle (SDLC) model – Produce and maintain Project Schedule and Project plan – Implement and maintain best practice Programme/ Project Management methodologies and principles – Update Project Management tracking tools and monitor project delivery in terms of financial spend and productivity – Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work requirements, budget and timeline – Generate applicable Programme and Project reports and dashboards – Analyze risk and issues, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigating action – Liaise/ negotiate integration of cross-functional issues and dependencies Gain acceptance and sign-off by all parties when closure is attained – Manage relationship with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables – Negotiate resources and time allocated to projects – Ensure continuous improvements in processes and procedures – Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project’s objectives, and motivate the project team to achieve the objectives – Create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members – Coach to clarify assignments and deliverables to project team – Review quality of work and manage integration of team members’ work – Provide performance input to project team – Execution of procurement process (RFx) which includes specifying required solution, evaluate solution, define recommendation, realization of vendor contract – Development and management of relevant business cases – Business Case Reporting – Development, Coordination and Maintenance of the capital business plan – Current Cost Accounting (CCA) evaluation |

Qualifications | Relevant 3 year degree (NQF level 7)/ diploma (NQF level 6) |
Experience | 5 Years experience in Project Management environment and 3 years managerial experience |
