Minimum Qualification Requirements
Grade 12
National Diploma in Environmental Science or equivalent and relevant Qualification
2 years relevant experience
Computer literacy certificate
Code B Driver’s License
Key Performance Areas
Draft and implement air quality management plan
Monitor compliance with conditions of atmospheric emission licences
Develop and maintain a database of industries with controlled emitters
Attend to environmental management complaints in the municipality
Assist with the drafting of environmental management by-laws and implement them.
Conduct regular meetings with industries to increase co-operations
Assist in the development and review of integrated environmental policy document
Conduct and review environmental impact assessment on eradication of vegetation, air pollution, endangered species and etc.
Create and promote environmental management awareness campaigns within the community.
Develop reports and liaise with provincial governmental bodies as required
